Sudden Quail Death...

We have been raising domestic quail for over 6 months.  Today we had the oddest issue.  The quail were fine when we checked them yesterday morning and then this afternoon two were dead and one was very lethargic.  We removed the ant covered dead birds and put the lethargic one into a recovery pen.   Feed was fine, water was flowing normally, air flow to the pens is good and they are well shaded.

Can anyone offer up some wisdom or explanation?

Hi Mary, you're in the right place to interact with many people that are creating the country right here in the city. Many of the folks that post here are true country people also, and some have large lots in the city as well. You sound like you have plenty of knowledge to share with people here in addition to learning some new things. Welcome to the VPA!
